Description: 2023 Proven Winner's National Hosta of the Year, and the largest known hosta available on the market! 'Empress Wu' sports massive, deeply ribbed, dark blue-green leaves that can grow up to two feet long and wide. Although large leaves appear when the plant is young, it takes about 5 years of growing time for the plant to reach its full mature size. Has a strong, upright habit, and in the mid summer features clusters of pale purple, downward-facing, bell-shaped flowers held aloft on thick, blue-green stems above the foliage. This EMPRESS-ive plant is a big statement maker, sure to turn heads!
