Latin Name: Mimosa pudica
Description: Also called the 'Humble Plant' or 'Shameplant' due to its unique defense mechanism. When stimulated, the sensitive plant will rapidly close its leaves and droop. It has spiky spines along the stems, and compound, oval leaves that appear clustered along thin branches. When very happy, Mimosa may reward you with small, globular, mauve flower puffs.
Watering: Keep soil moist, but never soggy. Reduce watering during winter months.
