Description: Commonly known as  Rocky Mountain Blazing Star, This lovely variety sports upright fluffy spikes densely packed with clusters of small, vibrant electric-purple, star-shaped flowers that bloom in succession from top to bottom on the spires. The blossoms contrast nicely with the finely textured, lanceolate grass-like foliage, which covers each of the stems from top to bottom. This specimen is very attractive to bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. Easy to grow and low maintenance, this plant makes a fantastic choice for a vertical accent in sunny areas.
