Latin Name: Persea americana 'Doni'


Description: Meet the 'Doni' Avocado, the first quality avocado variety to hit the commercial market! This tropical beauty does best in a pot in our climate, however, in their native regions, can grow up to 30-60' tall! It sports long, elliptic to ovate, dark-green leaves, which are glossy when they emerge, and mature to a leathery texture. Small greenish-yellow flowers emerge on panicles, followed by green-skinned, pear-shaped fruits, each containing a large pit, surrounded by an edible, delicious, buttery pulp. 

Watering: Allow the first 2-3 inches to dry out before watering
