Description: A stunning variety of poppy, the 'Beauty of Livermere' showcases large, papery, cherry-red blossoms with overlapping petals and maroon (almost black) throats. A central ring of dark, wispy stamens surrounds a dark red eye in the middle of each bloom. They appear on delicate stems above long, narrow, deeply-ridged, saw-like green foliage in the late spring into the early summer. Makes a fantastic early summer highlight in sunny gardens. This plant goes dormant after flowering.
