SYMPHYOTRICHUM C.AVONDALE

$29.99

Latin Name: Aster cordifolius 'Avondale'

Description: This late-blooming native plant produces a dense cluster of small, light-blue daisy-like flowers with delicate golden and burgundy centers, long, ovate petals, and several bright yellow stamens evenly spaced around the center in a ring. The prolific blooms appear in early fall just above medium green, heart-shaped, basal leaves. This plant is tough, adaptable, and drought tolerant, making it perfect for our colder climate. Tolerates nearly full shade.

Prefers a average, dry to medium, well-draining soil. A fuller habit can be promoted by pinching back the stems several times before mid-July. Deer and rabbit resistant.
