THYMUS GOLDEN LEMON
Latin Name: Thymus × citriodorus ‘Aureus’
Description: Lemon Thyme is an aromatic, bushy perennial grown primarily as a culinary herb or in groundcover applications. This selection features dainty lemon-scented leaves and small terminal clusters of tubular, lavender/pink flowers in early summer that are attractive to bees, butterflies and birds alike. The leaves are oval to lance-shaped in habit, and may feature a creamy variegation in brighter settings. They are often used in culinary dishes, offering a citrusy flavour when added to dishes. This variety is more upright in habit than other Thyme varieties, but still stays relatively close to the ground for groundcover applications. A perfect selection for edging or border fronts, rock gardens, containers, and more!
