VERONICA WHITLEYI
Latin Name: Veronica whitleyi
Description: This mat-forming, evergreen perennial puts on a lovely show of dense spires of deep blue, 4-5 petaled flowers with central white eyes, pink undertones, and delicate, white stamens. The blooms form just above the dense mat of elliptical, grey-green, hairy foliage. The blossoms appear in the mid spring, and bloom until the beginning of summer. An incredibly versatile perennial, tolerant of heat, humidity, and drought.
Best grown in full sun, in an average to dry, well-draining soil. Deer and rabbit resistant. Can handle light foot traffic. Can be pruned once flowering has finished.
